Big changes!

We got engaged and moved to Pennsylvania!

We got engaged on Father's day 2012,  June 17 at the Town Landing in Falmouth, Maine.  We were on our way home from Lewiston visiting Ben's family.  Ben took a detour on the way home and popped the question on the dinghy dock.  He collected local Maine stones, Tourmaline and Garnet and commissioned artist and friend, Kate Mess to create a one of a kind engagement ring.  Ben had known he was going to pop the question for a while.  He talked to Jodi's brother in laws and asked her Dad at Christmas time, 6 months before!

We moved from Portland to Edinboro, PA in August.  Ben was accepted into Graduate School at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.  He is studying Master of Fine Arts in Ceramics.  It is a three year program.  He has been blogging about his process here.

Jodi got a fulltime job at Bayfront Maritime Center in Erie, PA.  It is a very simliar non-profit organization to Compass Project, where she was working in Portland.  She is still working with inner city youth teaching Boatbuilding, but more importantly teaching job skills, social skills, and personal development.  Her students have been keeping a blogging about their project, a 22' rowing skiff here.
